Simon Waters
Director
Simon oversees all three branches in Aldermoor, Portchester and Sholing and looks after families on the day of a funeral as Funeral Director. The business has been running successfully for some fourteen years, serving his local community to whom he is committed and has carefully trained and built a professional, caring and highly competent team around him.

David Waters

Senior Funeral Director
David Waters is Simon's son and an integral part of the team across our branches.
David is our main Funeral Director, ensuring the smooth running of every funeral service from the first call through to the service, providing on-going supports, advice and guidance. He is a great asset and cares for families as though they were his own.
David has completed his qualification with BIFD an obtained a diploma within funeral services.

Alison Parlour
Administrator
Alison is our Principal Administrator in our main branch in Sholing,
she has many years of management experience and has been with Waters & Sons for over ten years. She is the in-house expert managing our main branch and providing support and assistance to the other two branches. She takes care of our families from the first point of contact until the day of the service and beyond ensuring that all aspects of a service run smoothly.

Senior Funeral Director
Having been serving family’s for the last 16 years in the funeral industry I am fully qualified by the National Association of Funeral Directors as well as licensed by the British Institute of Funeral Directors. I have been around Funerals for nearly 30 years my mum also worked in Funerals. I am married with four children (ranging in ages from 5-18) family life can be pretty busy but my hobbies are spend time in nature as well as music, reading, running and cars/ bikes and anything with an engine. We are as unique in death as we are in life and to be able to help somebody say a personal goodbye to their loved one is an honour and I have the privilege of being the last person to say good night to somebody before their funeral, which is something that I will cherish always

Ryan Philo
Mortuary Supervisor & Hearse Driver
Ryan Philo joined the Waters & Sons team in Febuary 2024. Ryan main duties at Waters & Sons consist of bringing loved ones into our care and ensure vehicles are maintained to the highest standards possible. Ryan also play a vitrural part on pallbearing on funeral services and assisting the Funeral Directors on funeral services.
