Funeral Plans
None of us would normally wish to contemplate our own funeral but in truth it can be the most thoughtful thing both for our loved ones and our own piece of mind. A prepaid Funeral Plan can help ease the pressure on family and friends at a time of bereavement and give precise and specific guidelines as far as your own personal wishes are concerned. We exclusively offer Golden Charter plans.
Planning and prepaying for your funeral will ensure that all funeral costs and services under the direct control of your nominated funeral director can be covered. Also including the majority of expected costs for disbursements, and easing the financial burden on your family. Special requests can be included within a funeral plan, such as particular hymns or music or specific wording for obituaries.
Funeral plans can be paid for in full or by instalments. Your payment will go directly to the Golden Charter Trust. The Trust is a separate legal entity from Golden Charter and will continue until every plan is carried out and payment made to the funeral director. This is why your funeral director is able to provide a legally binding contract which ensures that your funeral arrangements will be carried out as you wish.
All premiums are underwritten by independent insurance companies so that payment is guaranteed even if, for any reason, your nominated funeral directors cannot be used. Should you move away from the area or your chosen funeral director closes his business you can transfer the arrangements to another independent funeral director of your choice.
